The hunting fields are dedicated solely to the maintenance of wildlife habitat for quality pheasant hunting. Cover development includes a combination of planted native grasses, rye, fescue, pampas and managed natural habitat. Our groomed fields are well stocked with pheasant and chukar. During their migration periods, you will also find dove and duck inhabiting the Preserve. As a members only club, overcrowded fields are not an issue, since we allow only a limited number of hunters in the field each day.

Trained hunting dogs are required, but for those that do not have a dog, excellent professionally trained rental dogs are available. Our resident dog trainer, Randy Berry operates Von Steuben Kennels at Hastings Island. Randy is available for training and is also happy to advise dog owners on the care, conditioning and schooling of their hunting dogs.
